Innovation Clubs aim at promoting students to think of innovative concepts and technology that would bring about wide changes in society for its betterment. It was launched on the 12th of January, 2016 at Silver Hills Higher Secondary School, Paroppadi.An initiative by the District Collector, N. Prasanth this club encourages the students to ask questions about everything around them thus enabling them to see society as it is and not to accept things blindly. He opined that the core of creativity is the continual process of asking questions which can be achieved through the Innovation Club.

The State Innovation Council and District Administration will conduct Innovation Fairs in association with the club. In Kozhikode district, around 257 institutions were identified to kick off the Innovation Club. The first phase includes the formation of clubs in selected educational institutions like the National Institute of Technology, Calicut (NITC) and Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode (IIMK). The members of the club should be active participants of existing school/college clubs such as Mathematics Club, Science Club, Nature Club and National/State Cadet Corps.
